*J's Steak Frites is Parisian style steakhouse serving the best steak frites in Toronto.* *Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled items while ensuring that all meals are served promptly and to the highest standards. *Duties* * Prepare and cook food items on the grill according to menu specifications. * Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and kitchen area. * Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as needed. * Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality of grilled items. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. * Handle food products safely, adhering to proper food handling procedures. * Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages. *Experience* * Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. * Familiarity with food service operations, including meal preparation techniques. * Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry. * Experience with grilling techniques and equipment is a plus. * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
