<p><strong>Finishing Dozer Operator</strong></p> <p><strong>Company:</strong> Infracon Group of Companies<br/> <strong>Location:</strong> Prince Rupert, BC<br/> <strong>Type:</strong> Full-Time / Project-Based<br/> <strong>Wage Range:</strong> $37.00 ? $41.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Infracon Group of Companies is seeking experienced <strong>Finishing Dozer Operators</strong> for an upcoming municipal sewer and water infrastructure project in Prince Rupert, BC.</p> <p>This role is best suited for a skilled operator with strong finishing experience and the ability to complete precise grading, shaping, backfilling, slope work, road building, and site preparation in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be confident operating dozers around active construction operations, changing ground conditions, survey controls, other equipment, ground crews, and project work areas.</p> <p>Our projects may include road construction, earthworks, drainage, mine support work, pipeline maintenance, site development, reclamation, and civil infrastructure upgrades. We are looking for operators who take pride in quality workmanship, understand the importance of safe production, and can work closely with supervisors, surveyors, labourers, truck drivers, pipe crews, and other equipment operators.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for experienced dozer operators who enjoy varied project work and are open to supporting projects in different locations throughout Western Canada.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Dozer Operation</strong></p> <ul><li>Operate dozers safely and efficiently to support civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance activities </li><li>Perform finishing work, including grading, shaping, sloping, backfilling, spreading, stripping, and material placement </li><li>Build and maintain roads, pads, slopes, ditches, access routes, and work areas as directed </li><li>Work to grade using stakes, plans, GPS, laser, or direction from supervisors and survey teams </li><li>Support road construction, drainage improvements, earthworks, site development, reclamation, and infrastructure projects </li><li>Push, spread, level, and shape material safely and efficiently </li><li>Work safely around workers on foot, trucks, excavators, graders, packers, scrapers, and other mobile equipment </li></ul> <p><strong>Finishing & Grade Work</strong></p> <ul><li>Complete accurate finishing work to meet project specifications and quality standards </li><li>Perform final shaping and grading of slopes, subgrades, roadways, pads, berms, ditches, and work areas </li><li>Read and understand basic grade stakes, site markings, drawings, and field direction </li><li>Maintain strong attention to detail when working near utilities, pipelines, structures, slopes, or tight work areas </li><li>Identify potential issues with grade, drainage, access, or site conditions and communicate them to supervision </li><li>Support efficient sequencing of work to reduce rework and keep the project moving </li></ul> <p><strong>Project & Crew Support</strong></p> <ul><li>Work closely with supervisors, forepersons, surveyors, labourers, pipe crews, truck drivers, and other operators </li><li>Support safe and efficient field operations across civil, mining, and pipeline maintenance projects </li><li>Communicate clearly with spotters, ground crews, and other equipment operators </li><li>Assist with practical field problem-solving as site conditions change </li><li>Adapt to changing project requirements, weather, ground conditions, and work priorities </li><li>Represent the Infracon Group of Companies professionally on project sites </li></ul> <p><strong>Equipment Care & Maintenance</strong></p> <ul><li>Complete daily equipment inspections and pre-use checks </li><li>Report equipment deficiencies, damage, maintenance issues, or safety concerns pr- Location Prince Rupert, BC
