Name and description of the hiring departmentThe HR Services group provides quality support to all Bell Canada employees and its subsidiaries. These services include payroll administration, HR-related transactions, management of unionized staff transfers, and administration of the employee discount program. The Payroll Assistant ? Support Centre is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by responding to various payroll-related inquiries and redirecting clients when necessary. They also ensure that the advice and recommendations provided contribute positively to payroll processing efficiency.Job Duties / AccountabilitiesReceiving and resolving payroll-related requests from employees and managers via various channels (email, online, chat, or incoming calls)Redirecting requests to the appropriate services or departments when neededPerforming analyses that may sometimes be complexUnderstanding payroll processing and validation timelinesExplaining tax slips while complying with laws, government requirements, and collective agreementsResponding accurately and with integrity to questions about employee compensationTaking necessary actions to avoid generating additional lossesCompleting declarations submitted to various government agenciesAccurately filling out various documents and performing necessary follow-upsEnsuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsJob Duties / Accountabilities (continued)Understanding and coordinating compensation detailsClearly and efficiently explaining the various components of payroll for Bell employees and subsidiariesAnalyzing various reports and making necessary correctionsUnderstanding and being able to calculate gross to net salary, vacation pay, etcMaintaining employee satisfaction and trustAnalyzing and processing requests from various internal and external sources and justifying discrepancies while respecting service agreementsProducing specific reports, tax slips, and related documents for active employees, those on sick leave, and retirees using various applicationsInterpreting and ensuring compliance with collective agreements and government lawsResolving frontline complaints and unusual or complex situationsNegotiating reimbursement agreements with employees who received overpaymentsEssential Qualifications / CompetenciesKnowledge of payroll compliance legislationGeneral payroll knowledge (understanding and ability to explain various payroll laws, pay stubs, tax slips, etc.)Experience working in a customer service environmentKnowledge of English and French required- Location Montréal, QC
