*Job Summary* We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the office. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with dental and medical office procedures. Experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. *Duties* * Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic * Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments via multi-line phone systems and online platforms * Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting insurance information and updating records * Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages * Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries * Maintain accurate patient records, including medical terminology documentation and treatment notes * Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and managing office correspondence * Support the dental team by preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete before appointments * Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and welcoming at all times *Experience* * Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental or medical office setting is highly desirable * Familiarity with dental management software such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred * Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care is advantageous * Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) or electronic health records (EHRs) systems is beneficial * Strong office experience with proficiency in multi-line phone systems and administrative tasks is required * Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role within a healthcare environment will be considered an asset This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where your organizational skills and customer service expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care.
