Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Work with minimal supervision. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Reliability. Punctuality.
