<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;">Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technologist position in the Laboratory Services Department.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;">The primary location for this position is: <strong>Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;"><strong>The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until September 2027, or sooner, as determined by RRHS</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Qualifications:</span></strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Minimum two years' experience in a medical laboratory preferred</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated computer literacy (i.e. Cerner)</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Ability to work with minimal supervision</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Ability to fulfil commitment of 12 hour shifts</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated accuracy, organizational and multi-tasking skills</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Possess solid technical skills for phlebotomy</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teams</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to personal, patient and staff safety</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality</span></li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;"><strong>Other pertinent conditions</strong><strong>: </strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Salary per the OPSEU Salary Schedule ($36.84 per hour to $50.24 per hour)</span></li></ul><p style="line-height:normal;"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;"><strong>Applying to this Position:</strong></span></p><p style="line-height:normal;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in applying for the position, please click on <strong>APPLY NOW</strong> and submit a resume detailing your qualifications.</span></p><p style="line-height:normal;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts.
