Job details
Main duties: Bathe animals using appropriate shampoos and conditioners based on coat type and skin condition. Dry animals using towels, cage dryers, or hand dryers while monitoring for safety and stress. Brush and comb coats to remove tangles, mats, and loose hair. Clip, trim, and style coats using clippers, scissors, and grooming tools according to breed standards or owner instructions. Safely shave severely matted coats when required for the animals welfare. Trim nails and clean ears. Express anal glands if required and if trained to do so. Assess coat and skin condition and inform pet owners of any concerns, such as parasites, infections, lumps, or injuries. Handle animals safely and humanely, including difficult or anxious pets. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, equipment, and work area Maintain grooming records and follow client instructions Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding grooming results, coat condition, and maintenance needs Number of positions: 1Full-time-Permanent: 36-40 hrs/weekYoung applicants will be preferred.
