The position we are hiring for is 5/6 days a week equaling 30-42 hours plus potential dog walking clients. \*\*This is a high stress job caring for live animals where paying attention to detail is essential. Please email aldercreekkennel@outlook.com directly! *Overview* The Dog Handler plays a vital role in the care and management of dogs, ensuring their well-being and safety while providing exceptional service to clients. This position requires a passion for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Dog Handler will be responsible for handling various breeds and sizes of dogs, maintaining a positive environment for both the animals and their owners. *Duties* * Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding and exercising. * Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management. * Maintain cleanliness in all areas where dogs are housed or exercised. * Assist clients with questions or concerns regarding their pets, delivering excellent customer service. * Implement training techniques as directed by management to ensure proper behavior and socialization of dogs. * Engage in heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or managing larger breeds. * Ensure all safety protocols are followed during interactions with dogs and clients. *Skills* * Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for the care and management of larger dog breeds or equipment. * Ability to work in all weather conditions. * Team-oriented mindset with the capability to work independently when needed. * Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals are essential traits for success in this role.
