Heavy Equipment Operator *Paton Aggregates & Soils Ltd.* Mount Elgin, ON Job Type Full-Time Job Description Paton Aggregates & Soils Ltd. is seeking a motivated and reliable *Heavy Equipment Operator* to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, screening plants, and stacker belts; loading trucks and trailers; maintaining a safe work environment; and supporting daily yard operations. Responsibilities * Provide excellent customer service at all times. * Assist customers with loading purchased products. * Safely operate loaders and other heavy equipment. * Safely load trucks and trailers with materials. * Operate and maintain screening plants and stacker belts. * Follow all company policies and procedures, * Comply with applicable health and safety legislation including the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. * Report any incidents, accidents, or equipment damage immediately. * Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Assist with general labour duties, including lifting, moving materials, assembling products, changing screens, performing general maintenance, and supporting other departments as needed. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications * Previous experience operating loaders and heavy equipment is required. * Customer service experience is considered an asset. * Strong commitment to workplace safety. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills. * Surface Mining Common Core training is considered an asset. * Class D Driver's Licence with Z Endorsement is considered an asset. * Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50 lbs and moving materials. * Must be able to safely enter and exit equipment frequently throughout the day and work in varying weather conditions. * Must be 25 years of age or older. Education & Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Previous experience in a related field is required.
