Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Dusty. Odours. Livestock. All weather conditions. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation provided. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Track and report on current feed inventory . Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Maintain work records and logs. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Experience: Will train.
