Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Plan, set up and administer accounting systems. Supervise staff. Train staff. Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies. Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements. Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure. Analyze financial documents and reports. Examine accounting records. Provide financial, business and tax advice. Negotiate with corporations and government to determine the type and terms of new securities issue. Prepare offering prospectus for new issues of stocks and bonds. Negotiate mortgage loans and make application for mortgage to lenders or lending institutions on behalf of client. Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits. Variance analysis. Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. Oversee payroll administration.
