Job description: _*Full- time Dog Walker Wanted (Weekdays 9 am to 3 pm)*_ *Please read carefully before applying. This role has non-negotiable requirements.* Goldie Hound is a force-free dog walking and pet care company based in the Kitchener Waterloo area. We are growing and looking for a reliable, kind, outdoorsy human to join our pack as a full-time *dog walker*. Gentle handling, redirection, patience, and lots of love are our jam. If that sounds like you, keep reading. *Mandatory Requirements (Please Do Not Apply If You Do Not Meet These)* * You MUST have a reliable car * You MUST have animal care experience * You MUST live in Kitchener, Waterloo, or Cambridge * Applicants from Guelph or outside areas will not be considered * You MUST be available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm with no exceptions If you do not meet all of the above, please do not apply. *About the Role* * You will transport and walk up to 6 dogs at a time * Walks are 1 hour at nearby trails * All dogs are regular clients and fully vetted * Dogs are up to date on all required vaccinations * We do not accept major behavioural issues * Our pack is made up of happy go lucky dogs only * Occasional weekend cat visits optional *Availability* * Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm * No flexibility on hours * You must live locally in Kitchener, Waterloo, or Cambridge *Qualifications* * Experience working with animals is required * Comfortable with all dog breeds and sizes * Independent and able to follow directions * Strong communication skills with both clients and team * Comfortable being client-facing * Positive reinforcement and force free handling is a must * Able to provide proof of a clean criminal record and be bondable * Own a cellphone for texting, photos, and scheduling apps * Enjoy being outdoors in all weather conditions * Have appropriate clothing for rain, snow, heat, and mud * Comfortable with your car getting dirty *Why Goldie Hound* * Supportive, respectful, and animal first company * Ethical, force free philosophy * Consistent daytime hours * Work with amazing dogs and appreciative clients * Be part of a growing local business that genuinely cares *How to Apply* * You MUST include a cover letter explaining why this job is perfect for you * Resumes submitted without a cover letter will NOT be considered * No phone calls please Serious applicants only.
