*Cook ? MARU Japanese Bistro (Full-time/Part-time)* At MARU, we?re a cozy Japanese bistro in the heart of Leslieville, serving dishes made from scratch. We?re looking for a cook who is passionate about food, teamwork, and creating a welcoming dining experience. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and plate menu items with care and consistency * Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow health & safety standards * Assist with prep and daily mise en place * Monitor food quality and temperatures, and communicate with the team * Work closely with chefs, servers, and bar staff to create a smooth service * Other duties as needed in a small, collaborative kitchen *Qualifications* * 1+ year of kitchen experience (restaurant experience preferred) * Knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment * Interest in Japanese cuisine (experience an asset, but training provided) * Strong sense of teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail * Passion for culinary arts and guest experience * Bringing your own knives is recommended (we encourage cooks to use tools they are comfortable with) *Details* * Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent * Salary: $18.00?$21.00 per hour + tips * Education: No degree required * Experience: 1?5 years preferred * Work remotely: No Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour Work Location: In person- Location Toronto, ON
