The program will receive referrals and provide multidimensional rehabilitation and follow-up for clients with long term pain and related health needs.This Clinical Physiotherapist II position is responsible for providing specialty physiotherapy assessment, interventions, consultation and education in Pain services, as well as interventions for those patients from pain services who require follow-up physiotherapy care.The patient population is mainly chronic in nature and will include care and education to (but not limited) patients with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and intensive rehab following interventional treatment. The caseload will be high volume and turn over. Other musculoskeletal conditions may be included in caseload depending on operational needs. Work is performed independently in close association with the pain services team.This Clinical Physiotherapist II position plays a key leadership role in Pain services. This Clinical PT II position may orient, evaluate and mentor staff as well as participate in program evaluation and quality initiative activities of the Program.This position will act as a physiotherapy expert in pain services and as such provides advice/information to physiotherapists across the province on an as needed basis.Supervision and delegation to Physiotherapy Support Workers may be an expectation.This position reports to the Manager of Patient Services, Pain Management and maintains accountability to the Physiotherapy Professional Practice Consultant for professional integrity and professional practice issues.Job Demands:By applying for this job, you acknowledge an understanding that regular requirements and demands of this job include (but are not limited to):Occasionally lifts or moves objects between 10 - 37 lbs.Regularly requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.Regularly required to bend, kneel, stretch and physically lifting, pushing, pulling and/or maneuvering patient/clients with medium force. Occasionally uses hand tools and equipment. Time pressures and interruptions are experienced with little control over work pace.Higher than normal levels of attentiveness/alertness is required when performing activities for the orthopedic client with complex medical conditions.Job Qualifications:Graduation from an approved/recognized school of Physiotherapy is required.Registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Physiotherapists (NLCP) is required.A minimum of three years' experience- Location Stephenville, NL
