We provide a diverse range of roles across many locations and a career where you can make a meaningful impact.</span></p><strong>THE ROLE</strong><p><span>The Recreation and Inclusion Coordinator plays a pivotal role in creating safe, </span><span>welcoming, and adaptive recreation programs and services for individuals and families </span><span>within the military community. You will champion inclusion and accessibility across </span><span>recreation, ensuring that people with disabilities and support needs can meaningfully </span><span>engage in programming, events and community life.</span></p> <p><span><span>You will lead the planning, development, and evaluation of inclusion focused programs </span><span>and services, and develop individualized plans for participants with disabilities and </span><span>support needs. You will research, design and deliver comprehensive training for </span><span>employees and provide expertise and support in implementing behaviour management </span><span>protocols.</span></span></p> <p><span><span>You will establish clear, consistent, and proactive communication with participant families and caregivers. You will build strong partnerships with interdepartmental teams, community organizations, service providers, and schools to guarantee that programs, services, and facilities align with current best practice standards.</span></span></p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED</strong><p><span><strong><span>Education, Certifications and Licenses</span></strong></span></p> <p><span>College diploma or certificate in Child and Youth Care, Autism and Behavioural </span><span>Science, Therapeutic Recreation, Educational Support or a related field AND several </span><span>years of experience in recreation administration, special education, disability support </span><span>services, or a related field</span></p> <p><span>AND</span></p> <p><span>Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification</span><br><span>HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) Certification</span><br><span>HIGH FIVE Quest 2, an asset</span><br><span>Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, an asset</span><br><span>Behavior Management Systems certification, an asset</span><br><span>Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)/Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) Therapy </span><span>training, an asset.</span></p> <p><span><strong><span>Experience</span></strong></span></p> <p><span>In planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the operations of </span><span>recreation/inclusion support programs</span><br><span>In applying policies, procedures, regulations and applicable legislation</span><br><span>In personnel administration</span><br><span>In budget administration</span><br><span>In conducting and evaluating client assessments</span><br><span>In preparing and conducting analysis, research, presentations- Location Ottawa, ON
