The successful candidate will leverage their strong industry network, product expertise, and consultative approach to drive portfolio growth and contribute to the brokerage's strategic objectives.</p><p><strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></strong></p><ul><li><strong><strong>Business Development:</strong></strong> Identify and secure new commercial accounts through networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting.</li><li><strong><strong>Client Advisory:</strong></strong> Conduct in-depth risk assessments and provide customized insurance and risk management solutions.</li><li><strong><strong>Account Management:</strong></strong> Oversee the servicing of mid-to-large commercial accounts, ensuring high retention and client satisfaction.</li><li><strong><strong>Negotiation:</strong></strong> Collaborate with underwriters to secure competitive coverage terms and pricing.</li><li><strong><strong>Market Expertise:</strong></strong> Stay ahead of market trends, underwriting guidelines, and emerging risks impacting commercial clients.</li><li><strong><strong>Relationship Building:</strong></strong> Maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients, and centers of influence.</li><li><strong><strong>Mentorship & Leadership:</strong></strong> Support junior commercial account executives and producers through knowledge sharing and guidance.</li><li><strong><strong>Compliance:</strong></strong> Ensure all activities meet RIBO and brokerage standards.</li></ul><p><strong><strong>Qualifications & Skills</strong></strong></p><ul><li><strong><strong>5+ years of commercial insurance sales and account management experience.</strong></strong></li><li>RIBO license (in good standing); CAIB or CIP designation preferred.</li><li>Strong network of business contacts in the GTA.</li><li>Deep knowledge of commercial insurance products (e.g., property, liability, auto, specialty risks).</li><li>Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.</li><li>Highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen.</li><li>Experience with broker management systems (e.g., Epic, Power Broker) and Microsoft Office.</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Elkove is an independent insurance brokerage- based in downtown Toronto - licensed in multiple provinces across Canada.
