Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements, and provide financial analysis to support business operations and strategic planning.</p><p>Employment Details</p><p>• Position: Senior Accountant</p><p>• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent</p><p>• Start Date: As soon as possible</p><p>• Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week</p><p>• Compensation:</p><p>- Wage: $42.00 per hour, with performance-based bonus opportunities depending on company performance</p><p>- Vacation: paid 21 days per year</p><p>- Health benefits - $3,000 per year</p><p>• Language of Work: English</p><p>• Work Location: 303-570 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC V6C 3P1</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP</p><p>• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of journal entries and account balances</p><p>• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing</p><p>• Prepare and file statutory remittances including GST/HST, PST, payroll source deductions, and WCB premiums in compliance with federal and provincial regulations</p><p>• Analyze project costs, financial performance, and operational expenditures related to reforestation contracts and provide financial reporting and recommendations to management</p><p>• Assist with corporate tax filings and related financial reporting requirements</p><p>• Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors</p><p>• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain internal controls</p><p>• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing variances and preparing financial reports</p><p>• Maintain and improve accounting systems and ERP software, including Acumatica</p><p>Required Qualifications</p><p>Education & Designation</p><p>• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation issued or recognized in British Columbia, Canada</p><p>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field</p><p>Experience</p><p>• Minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting experience</p><p>• At least two (2) years in a senior or supervisory accounting role</p><p>• Experience preparing full-cycle financial statements and managing period-end close processes</p><p>• Experience with project or job-costing accounting, preferably in construction, forestry, environmental services, or field operations</p><p>• Experience managing external audits and working with public accounting firms</p><p>• Experience with Canadian payroll, ta- Location Vancouver, BCV6C 3P1
