<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Job Title: Financial Analyst NOC Code: 11101 - Financial and investment analysts</p><p> </p><p>Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week, in office.</p><p> </p><p>Start Date: June 1, 2026</p><p> </p><p>Wage: $48.08/hour ($100,000/year)</p><p>Benefits: extended health & dental</p><p>Language of Work: English</p><p> </p><p>Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, commerce, economics, or a related field; OR a college/university diploma in a related field combined with relevant work experience in finance or fund administration.</p><p> </p><p>Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, fund accounting, or a related finance role, including exposure to NAV calculations, P&L reporting, and risk reporting.<br><br>Specific Skills:</p><ul><li>Proficiency with financial modelling and analysis tools (advanced Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint, VBA)</li><li>Strong analytical, quantitative, and report-writing skills</li><li>Knowledge of fund accounting, financial markets, and risk management principles</li><li>Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</li></ul><p> </p><p>Main Duties:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Evaluate financial risk</li><li>Use portfolio management software</li><li>Examine and analyze financial and investment information (profiles of companies, stock or bond prices, yields and future trends)</li><li>Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefings notes and correspondence</li><li>Plan short- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance</li><li>Variance analysis</li><li>Calculate and review Net Asset Values (NAVs) for funds under management; verify accuracy of pricing, accruals, and fund-level positions</li><li>Liaise with third-party fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely reporting, resolve discrepancies, and oversee day-to-day fund administration activities</li><li>Prepare and analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements, identifying drivers of performance and reporting findings to management</li><li>Produce risk reporting including market, credit, and liquidity risk metrics; prepare regular risk profiles and escalate issues as required</li><li>Analyse operating expenditures (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX), prepare variance analyses, and support budget planning and forecasting</li><li>Support the financial review of legal agreements and contracts, assessing financial implications and advising on related provisions</li><li>Coordinate with external accounting firms.</li><li>Evaluate financial risks and prepare financial forecasts, financing scenarios, and capital management documents.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain tools and policies for managing and analyzing the financial portfolio and treasury function.</li></ul><p> </p></div></div>- Location Toronto, ON
