Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching dance classes to students of all ages and skill levels. Your role will involve creating a positive and engaging learning environment, developing lesson plans, and helping students improve their dance techniques. Duties: - Plan and deliver dance lessons in various styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, etc. - Teach students proper dance techniques, including body alignment, coordination, and rhythm - Create choreography for performances and recitals - Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills - Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities - Organize and supervise rehearsals for performances - Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate schedules and events - Ensure the safety of students during classes and performances Experience: - Previous experience as a Dance Instructor or in a similar role is required - Strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques - Experience working with children and/or adults in an educational or instructional setting - Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate dance techniques to students - Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching dance - Excellent interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with students and parents Skills: - Educate: Ability to educate students on dance techniques, styles, and terminology. - Early childhood education: Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods for young children. - Classroom management: Ability to maintain discipline and create an engaging learning environment. - Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback. - Creativity: Ability to create unique choreography for performances. - Organization: Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, rehearsals, and performances. - Tutoring: Experience providing one-on-one instruction or tutoring sessions. - Experience with children: Previous experience working with children in any capacity.
