Overview: We are seeking a dedicated High School Teacher to join our team. As a High School Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of young individuals and preparing them for their future endeavors. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds of Grade 9 to Grade 12 students, fostering their curiosity and understanding of scientific principles. *Responsibilities:* * Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Ontario curriculum for Grade 9 to Grade 12 Science (Biology) and Math courses. * Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported in their academic pursuits. * Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. * Assess student progress through a combination of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support their growth. * Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary connections and promote cross-curricular learning experiences. * Maintain open communication with students, parents, and administrators to address individual needs and concerns. * Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. * Offer extra help through tutoring sessions for students who require additional support. *Requirements:* * Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Science and Math field. * Teaching certification or licensure is preferred. * Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or eligibility for certification is preferred. * 5 years of teaching experience preferred. * Demonstrated understanding of the Ontario curriculum expectations for Grade 11 and Grade 12 Science ( Mainly Biology) and Math courses. * Passion for science education and a commitment to fostering inquiry-based learning experiences. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities to effectively plan and deliver instruction. * Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community. * Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes. * Experience in teaching high school students preferred. * Proficiency in classroom management techniques. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. * Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students. * Knowledge of special education practices is beneficial. * Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment.
