Eastern Rural Zone is seeking Locum Family Medicine Physicians to provide coverage at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Centre (BPHC) in Bonavista, NL.The Bonavista Peninsula Health Centre has 10 inpatient beds including one palliative care bed, and a 12-bed Protective Care Unit. Services include 24-hour emergency services, laboratory, X-ray, diabetic education, dietitian, chemotherapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, mental health, outpatient clinics, and inpatient services. The centre is associated with Golden Heights Manor, a 70-bed Level 3 long-term care facility.The referral site is Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, approximately 110 km away, offering a full range of specialist services including anesthesia, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, psychiatry, radiology, pediatrics, and 24-hour emergency (Category A).Work EnvironmentThe Town of Bonavista is a vibrant community that boasts some of the world's best vantage points for spotting puffins, icebergs, and whales.
