Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets. Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access. Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers. Computer and technology knowledge: Telecommunication system. Equipment and machinery experience: Cable outlets. Splitters. Area of specialization: Telecommunications equipment. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check.
