Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Services for the homeless. Work setting: Shelter for the homeless. Tasks: Supervise support staff. Administrative and office activities. Perform administrative tasks. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff. Manage events. Supervise office and volunteer staff. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Interpersonal awareness. Values and ethics. Client focus.
