<p>If you are not a current employee of our organization, please upload your resume with this application.  The Fort St.</p><p>John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is seeking an innovative and inspired support worker to build on the strength of a well-established organization.  If you are interested in playing an important and supportive role in the lives of individuals, we would love to hear from you.</p><p>We are looking for someone who is committed to working with people and sets a high standard in the promotion of health, choice, and community inclusion.</p><p>The Fort St.</p><p>John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is a non-profit agency, which has been providing quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities in the Fort St.</p><p>John and District since 1960.  The FSJACL is a CARF accredited agency with a trained, caring, and trusted professional staff team of over 80 employees who provide quality services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.   The FSJACL works collaboratively with community partners to achieve our vision of inclusion for all.  This position would include supporting the individuals we serve in all areas of their lives such as cooking, cleaning, yardwork, medication administration, community inclusion, and employment.</p><p>Training is provided for these tasks.</p><p>Responsibilities in this role include: Assist with cooking, meal planning, and grocery shopping Support cleaning, laundry, and home organization Help with yardwork and basic home maintenance Provide medication reminders and support (as trained) Encourage community participation and social activities Assist with employment goals and job support Build daily living and life skills Offer emotional support and advocacy Maintain documentation and communication with care teams Shift:  10 hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off, overnight.hours in the 10th Ave Home Program  QUALIFICATIONS: Class 4 Driver’s license must be to be obtained in the trial period of 3 months.</p><p>Staff must have a valid Class 5 Drivers license with at least three years of Class 5 driving experience at the time of application.    Lifting & Transferring   Seizure Management training   Crisis Prevention Intervention   Medication administration This is a BCGEU permanent unionized position, Grid Level 10.</li><li>($25.95-$29.76/ hour for awake shift.</p><p>For hours spent on sleep shift, our wages would follow Grid Level 5.</li><li>($22.94-$26.28).These wages are based on seniority or equivalent experience.  Applicants should be aware that they will be dealing with varying degrees of individual needs and abilities.   Closing Date: July 24th, 2026 Preference will be given to internal applicants  Powered by JazzHR</p>- Location Fort St. John, BC
