Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Wood products manufacturer. Tasks: Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Replace parts as required. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Equipment and machinery experience: Computerized woodworking machine. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Area of specialization: Millwork. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
