*Job Summary* CHARCUT Downtown Calgary is seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, expertly mixing drinks, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. As a vital part of our team, the Bartender will ensure that every guest has a memorable experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to recipes and customer preferences. * Engage with guests in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience. * Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. * Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. * Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with legal regulations. * Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours. * Uphold food safety standards when handling food and beverages, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices. * Demonstrate excellent time management skills to serve multiple guests efficiently during peak hours. *Experience* * Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in bartending or beverage service roles. * Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is highly desirable. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously. * Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. * Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and order processing. * Experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in developing their skills further.
