It?s also an environmentally conscious decision, as much of what is sold is product that is new, gently used or customer returns that would otherwise end up in a landfill. *Job Summary:* The Warehouse Associate is a key role responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Habitat ReStore, including inventory management, receiving and processing donations, assisting with warehouse organization, and assisting the ReStore truck to pick up donations when needed. The individual in this role will work closely with the ReStore team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, supporting the Habitat for Humanity mission of building affordable homes and strengthening communities. *Key Responsibilities:* * Warehouse Operations: * Assist in receiving, sorting, and processing donated items. * Organize and maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. * Help with unloading, sorting, and shelving donated goods, ensuring that all items are in good condition and appropriately priced. * Maintain accurate records of donations and inventory. * Help with stock rotation and ensuring that all products are readily available for display on the sales floor. * Inventory Management: * Assist in maintaining inventory control by tracking stock levels and restocking items as needed. * Help identify and report low inventory levels to the ReStore Manager. * Work with the ReStore team to prepare items for sale, including pricing and quality control checks. * Act as a assistance for the ReStore truck, assisting in the pick-up and delivery of donated goods. * Load and unload donations in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that items are properly secured during transport. * Provide excellent customer service during donation pick-ups, offering assistance and information about Habitat for Humanity's mission. * Team Collaboration: * Work closely with the ReStore team to meet operational goals and provide a positive customer experience. * Assist with training and supporting new warehouse associates or volunteers. * Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Habitat for Humanity?s mission and values. * Health & Safety Compliance: * Ensure the safe operation of warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other tools. * Follow all health, safety, and security procedures and guidelines. * Ensure that the warehouse and truck are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition at all times. *Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred. * Ability to safely lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs). * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with cu- Location Dartmouth, NS
