As we continue to grow, we're looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Finance who wants to influence strategic business decisions, shape long-term strategy, and build a finance function that supports sustainable growth. Reporting to the President, you'll be a trusted advisor to the executive team, helping evaluate investments, improve profitability, strengthen financial performance, and guide the company through its next stage of growth. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves while thinking strategically, we'd like to meet you. *What you'll be doing:* As Director of Finance, you'll be responsible for the strategic leadership, financial governance, and operational management of Horst Systems? finance function across all business units and branches, including but not limited to: * Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business planning * Managing cash flow, banking relationships, financing, and working capital * Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, pricing, margins, and operational performance * Supporting capital investments, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives through financial analysis * Overseeing accounting operations, payroll, AP/AR, compliance, taxation, and audit preparation * Developing meaningful dashboards, KPIs, and financial reporting that help leaders make better decisions * Leading and developing a high-performing finance team * Driving continuous improvement across financial systems and processes _\* A complete job description is available upon request_ *What we're looking for:* We?re seeking an experienced finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen. You likely have: * CPA designation (strongly preferred) * Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline * 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience * 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role * Experience within manufacturing, construction, agriculture, industrial, or project-based environments * Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, taxation, and compliance * Experience leading ERP or financial systems improvements * Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills You will thrive here if you: * Think beyond the numbers and understand how finance drives business performance. * Enjoy partnering with operational leaders rather than working in isolation. * Can confidently present financial information to executives and help influence decisions. * Balance strategic thinking with practical execution. * Believe strong financial discipline creates opportunities for growth. *Who we are* We?re a team of Grain System Specialists.
