Leaning on more than a decade of vertical integration of quantum hardware, we are leveraging a comprehensive pool of quantum technology and micro-electronic infrastructure to deploy our quantum computing technology.</p><p><strong>Salary</strong>: $123,000 - $140,000</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong>: Group insurance (including dental care), virtual care, lifestyle spending account (all available after 3 months of service)<strong><br><br>Our current needs</strong></p><p>As part of our continued growth, we are seeking to recruit a new contributor to our Quantum Architecture Team. Our quantum computing platform, built on bosonic codes, represents promising direction in the field. While it is less mature than more ?mainstream? approaches, this emerging technology opens up exceptional opportunities for discovery and innovation. Key questions?quantum error-correcting code design, fault-tolerant operation, and the compilation of circuits down to control pulses?are not only central to our mission but are vibrant areas of active research across the scientific community.</p><p>The role of the Quantum Architecture Team is to guide the company?s mid- and long-term technology roadmap. This work has a direct and wide-ranging impact on all teams at Nord Quantique. To fulfill this mandate, the team maintains a close engagement with the scientific literature and collaborates with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to identify and define the milestones that shape our roadmap.</p><p>As a contributor, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that address technological challenges at the heart of Nord Quantique?s mission. Beyond strong research synthesis skills, the role calls for initiative and creativity?qualities essential for advancing the frontiers of our technology and driving meaningful progress on our most critical objectives.</p><p><strong>Keys responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to the research of new bosonic multimode codes</li><li>Partake in the development of the theory of fault-tolerance in the context of bosonic codes</li><li>Interact with research partners</li><li>Assist in a tight watch on the relevant scientific literature</li></ul><p><strong>Education and experience requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>PhD in quantum information, theoretical physics, mathematics or theoretical computer science</li><li>PhD- or post-doc-internship, an asset</li><li>Work experience in industry, an asset</li></ul><p><strong>Sought expertise and knowledge:</strong></p><ul><li>Quantum error correction</li><li>Fault-tolerant quantum computing</li><li>Bosonic codes, multimode grid codes in particular</li><li>Advanced level in English, to communicate with international team members</li><li>Circuit-QED, an asset</li><li>Numerical simulation, an asset</li><li>Python know-how, an asset</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of French, an asset</li></ul><p><strong>Sought profile:</strong></p><ul><li>Exceptional ability to focus</li><- Location Sherbrooke, QC
