Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Report any malfunctions to supervisor. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Track and complete work orders. Report information to supervisor. Discuss work with supervisor. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Large workload. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Punctuality.
