Education: College/CEGEP. Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming. Hot. Work setting: Rural area. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development. Cultivate on vertical farming system. Cut agricultural crops. Develop specific plans to prioritize. Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Greenhouse cleaning. Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions. Harvest seedlings. Mixing fertilizer. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Tie and secure plants. Weeding. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Maintain financial and production records. Negotiate with clients for provision of services. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Maintain work records and logs. Hire and train staff. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Cut horticultural crops. Supervision: 11-15 people. 16-20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Pesticide Applicator's Licence. Type of crops: Cucumbers.
