Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Professionalism in customer service. Load and unload goods. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Provincial/territorial. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Hardworking.
