Childcare Center Supervisor Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Center Supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations at our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment, and skilled in managing staff and engaging with children of various ages. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development while ensuring the smooth functioning of our center. Responsibilities * Supervise and support classroom staff to ensure high-quality care and educational activities * Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote learning and development * Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and center policies * Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and staff * Coordinate daily schedules, activities, and special events * Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and needs * Manage administrative tasks such as attendance records, incident reports, and staff scheduling * Provide mentorship and ongoing training to staff members to enhance their caregiving skills * Assist in recruiting, hiring, and evaluating staff performance Requirements * Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or childcare settings * Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable * Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and teaching methods * Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient approach * Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment * Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff * Relevant certifications in early childhood education or childcare management preferred * Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse needs of children * Ability to pass background checks and meet licensing requirements for childcare providers Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: * Oshawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Licence/Certification: * ECE Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
