Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Asset languages: English, Middle (1100-1500). French, Middle (ca.1400-1600). Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: Sawmill. Tasks: Examine logs and rough lumber to decide best lumber cuts. Operate automated lumbermill equipment from control rooms or consoles. Saw, trim and plane rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes. Start conveyor system to move logs and lumber to and from saws. Monitor logs and lumber movement to ensure cuts are made according to specifications. Set up and adjust saw equipment. Replace blades or bands. Clean and lubricate sawmill equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills.
