Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers. Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat. Wrap and package prepared meats. Remove bones from meat. Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers. Train meat cutters. Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Support for youths: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
