Education: Bachelor's degree. Work site environment: Corrections. Work setting: Correctional facility. Tasks: Interview offenders to prepare pre-sentence reports. Prepare reports or case histories. Perform administrative tasks. Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders, establishing rules of conduct, goals and objectives. Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders. Refer offenders to community and social services programs. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Evaluate offenders' progress. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Interpersonal awareness. Judgement. Excellent written communication. Organized. Experience: Experience an asset.
