*Primary Focus* In conjunction with the Maintenance Team, the Manager?s role is critical as he/she directs the maintenance team to ensure maximum equipment reliability and strict compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The responsibility includes identifying and addressing maintenance issues on an on-going basis, reviewing work orders, planning, scheduling, prioritizing and costing maintenance works as well as ensuring that all maintenance jobs are done timely and to the required standards. *Accountabilities / Direct* * Plan/schedule routine maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance activities; * Ensure maintenance team members have proper tools and equipment for upcoming jobs; * Request parts via the existing PO system in place. * Maintain proper organization and Inventory of the store room; * Work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results; * Responsible for the execution of the PMP program * Prepare and maintain maintenance records, statistic reports, and other paperwork; * Trouble-shoot and solve problems; * Oversee and assist with projects such as new equipment installations and renovations * Minimize down-time of all equipment in plant. * Hire, train, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors. * Keep VP of Operations informed of problems and/or unusual situations; * Responsible for costing of replacement parts, gathering quotes for jobs and capital projects; * Enforce all safety protocols, GMPs, and sanitation standards. Manage environmental reviews and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements. * Lead EHS initiative to ensure environmental compliance; * Manage work order system; * Follow all safety rules and practices; * Perform other related duties as assigned from time-to-time; *Required Skills / Experience & Abilities* * High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical degree preferred. * Strong working knowledge of electrical (up to 480V 3-phase), mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as well as Refrigeration (Ammonia) system. Experience with PLCs, automated packaging, and food processing lines as well as B Class Operator Certification is highly desired. * A strong, proven background in GMP-regulated environments and an understanding of food safety audits (e.g., SQF, HACCP) * Strong communication and computer skills. * The ability to plan/schedule in coordination with production and maintenance teams. * 5 years minimum experience working in a manufacturing environment with in-depth maintenance exposure.
