Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Direct farm feed inventory activities . Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform animal grooming activities . Perform livestock feeding. Track and report on current feed inventory . Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Formulate feeding program. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Select livestock for sale. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Train horses. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Write daily basic progress reports. Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor. Farm truck. Loader. Manure spreader. Skidsteer. Forklift. Hand tools. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
