Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Handling animals. Marking livestock as proof of ownership. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Maintain work records and logs. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Repair and repaint wooden fixtures. Operate chainsaw to fell, delimb and buck trees. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor. Area of specialization: Beef cattle. Horses. Animal husbandry. Fences. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Team player.
