Tasks: Conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Treat livestock health issues. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties.
