We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our growing practice. The successful candidate will provide administrative and procedural support to lawyers across multiple practice areas, with particular exposure to our active immigration and refugee law caseload. *Key Responsibilities* * Draft, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, notices, and other legal documents * Open, organize, and maintain client files (digital and physical), ensuring compliance with Law Society recordkeeping requirements * Schedule client meetings, court appearances, and discoveries; manage lawyer calendars and limitation deadlines * Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and tribunals in a professional manner * Prepare and file documents with the Court of King's Bench, Provincial Court, Land Titles Registry, and other relevant bodies * Assist with real estate closings, including title searches, document preparation, and trust accounting support * Support immigration and refugee files, including preparation of applications, supporting documentation, and correspondence with the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) * Support family law, tenancy, and corporate files with intake forms, disclosure tracking, and document assembly * Manage incoming mail, calls, and general office administration * Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive client information *Qualifications* * Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary diploma/certificate (or equivalent experience) preferred * 1+ years of experience in a law firm environment is an asset, but not required for the right candidate * Exposure to immigration or refugee law, whether through work, education, or personal experience ? considered a strong asset * Familiarity with IRCC and IRB processes, forms, and portals is an advantage * Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in a second language (Punjabi, Hindi, Bengali, or other languages spoken by our client communities) is a significant asset * Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with legal practice management software is a plus * Familiarity with Saskatchewan court procedures and Land Titles Registry processes is an asset * Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Pay: $30,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Work Location: In person- Location Saskatoon, SK
