Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Conduct research on related specialized therapies. Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans . Examine the behaviour. Interview patients . Review reports from health care professionals to determine patients' current and potential functioning levels. Prepare a treatment plan for each patient. Provide education to clients regarding health promotion and injury prevention, management and treatment. Provide therapy. Implement treatment plans. Analyze the patient during the treatments. Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes. Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions. Follow up results of counselling programs and clients' adjustment. Administer standard psychological tests for assessment. Offer mediation, conciliation and arbitration services. Help clients manage physical illness and disorders. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS Word. Type of treatment experience: Behaviour modification or behavioural therapy. Employment terms options: Early morning. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
