You will be responsible for securing new clients and growing a book of business. You will grow your book of business through outbound business development activities. As a senior point of contact for Canadian Viewpoint?s customers, the Director of Business Development also coordinates the resources needed to service projects, build strategic operational plans and balance the expectations of clients with the execution of research projects. · Develop a sales pipeline and deliver new business from prospective and drive a strategy to maximize business opportunities. · Develop and manage a strategic account plan · Proactively build a better book of business that focuses on ?fewer, bigger, better clients' in our key growth areas (end users and/or consultative services/houses) · Monitoring client satisfaction, post-sale and ensuring a high level of customer service internally · Act as an escalation point for PMs/AMs/STAs on your accounts and in coverage for other Account Managers and Vice Presidents. · Identify client needs, problems, and goals, and be solutions orientated in your offering. · Responsible for client order intake, budgeting, and forecasting. · Ensure client-readiness of proposals and deliverables. · Collaborate with internal teams to address key industry challenges · Present complex bids, make decisions and represent Canview in the field e.g. presenting at conferences. · Identify gaps in offerings and work with the internal team and management to ensure we are keeping abreast of market research trends · Keep clients informed on new product offerings and cross-selling existing offerings · Working alongside clients to bring their innovative ideas to life, while consulting on best practices and capabilities · Working with other senior managers to generate
