<p>  Discovery Community College has an onsite/in-person opportunity available in the Nanaimo area for the right individual.</p><p>Discovery Community College offers a truly close-knit team of people who are passionate about changing lives.</p><p>As a member of this team, you will Discover all the best of Community, in both work and life.</p><p>About the Role: Practical Nurse Instructor – Theory, Lab, and/or Clinicals Locations: Campbell River We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practical Nurse Instructor to join our team and deliver high-quality instruction in Theory, Lab, and/or Clinical settings.</p><p>This position offers a rewarding opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of nursing professionals through engaging and comprehensive educational experiences.</p><p>Preferred Experience: Long-term Care Acute Care Maternity Mental Health Facilities Ideal candidates will bring a strong clinical background and a passion for teaching, ensuring students are well-prepared to succeed in the healthcare field.</p><p>This role offers 28-35 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future instructional opportunities, advancing your career in education.</p><p>Rate Range : $34.60-46.50/hour Start Date : August 11, 2026  Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality instruction in theory, lab, and clinical settings.</p><p>Execute lesson plans that align with curriculum requirements as per PTIRU compliance.</li><li>-  Extensive in-house curriculum orientation and training provided .</p><p>Provide hands-on training and supervision in clinical environments.</p><p>Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.</p><p>Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.</p><p>Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.</p><p>Qualifications: Minimum 3,900 hours of nursing experience , inclusive of maternity along with mental health and community experience .</p><p>Current full registration with the BCCNM – required.</p><p>Previous instructor experience is an asset.</p><p>Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset.</p><p>Strong communication and mentorship skills.</p><p>Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.</p><p>Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.</p><p>It’s your time – make the change today!</p><p>Powered by JazzHR</p>- Location Nanaimo, BC
