Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Medical laboratory. Tasks: Assemble prefabricated parts. Collect, record and summarize inspection results. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Set up assembly line with materials and supplies required for production. Check products for visual defects and faulty electrical and mechanical connections. Operate automatic or other testing equipment to ensure product quality. Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies. Perform minor repairs to items rejected from production line.
