* *Specific Skills:* Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Order supplies and equipment, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances * *Transportation/Travel Information:* Public transportation is available * *Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:* Standing for extended periods, Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Work under pressure * *Personal Suitability:* Team player, Reliability, Dependability * *Cuisine Specialties:* Experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine, including curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, and freshly baked naan. * *Employment groups encouraged to apply:* Canadian citizens, permanent residents, Indigenous peoples, newcomers to Canada, youth, veterans, persons with disabilities, and members of visible minorities are encouraged to apply. * *Qualifications:* Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking experience. Food Safety certification is an asset. * *Employment Terms:* * Permanent, full-time 40 hours per week. Overtime paid after applicable provincial thresholds.
