Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Chicken farming. Other poultry farming. Outdoors. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Poultry and egg production. Work setting: Rural area. Various locations. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Track and report on current feed inventory . Feed and tend animals. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Equipment and machinery experience: Egg gathering system. Feeding and watering system. Automated systems experience: Bulk grain or feed handling - automated. Manure handling and storage. Area of specialization: Poultry. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail.
