Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Install equipment. Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Maintain equipment. Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Area of specialization: Testing. Repair. Troubleshooting. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure.
