Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Mechanics and repairers, general. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Order parts and maintain inventory. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Welding experience. Attach components and adjust new farm equipment. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Service attachments and working tools. Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing. Perform other routine maintenance. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Hydraulic transmissions. Security and safety: Medical exam. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding.
