*Job Overview* We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers through effective communication and attention to detail. *Duties* * Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. * Process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system. * Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols. * Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts * Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. * Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, ensuring all merchandising displays are well-stocked. * Restock shelves, refrigerators, and displays as needed * Follow all store safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures. * Monitor and record lottery, tobacco, and age-restricted product sales per legal requirements * Assist in receiving and stocking deliveries. * Communicate effectively with team members and customers in both English and any additional languages as needed. * Report any equipment issues, suspicious activity, or policy violations to management. * Provide fast, efficient, and courteous service to ensure a positive shopping experience. *Requirements* * Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. * Should Have a Valid Smart Serve Certification * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. * Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. * Familiarity with technology sales or technical products is a plus. * Organizational skills to maintain an orderly checkout area and manage inventory levels. * Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods. * Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
